Class Announcements and Descriptions This archive is a list of previous class announcements mailed weekly to help prepare you for the class. Images of all class layouts are posted to Shelley's class LO gallary: "Next Monday’s class layout consists of Basic Grey patterned paper, Daisy D’s rub-ons, Fancy Pants chipboard embellishments, lots of buttons, cardstock, and FUN!. We’ll be covering chipboard with patterned paper and creating a fun family layout with lots of character. The colors are green, cream, red, brown, black, and a tiny bit of pink. The title says “FUN TOGETHER” and it’s all about family. I’ve done several extra layouts with the leftover paper and embellishments just so that you can see what else you can do with these colors and patterns. I’m sure you’ll love it! "
"Next Monday’s class
layout consists of Cherry Arte patterned paper and tags, Fancy Pants
chipboard embellishments, Basic Grey rub-on letters, buttons, and lots
of circles. We’ll be covering chipboard with patterned paper and
creating a photo border out of circles. The colors are quite
masculine…mostly blues (navy, turquoise, and aqua), gold, white, gray,
purple, and black. It’s a fun and cosmic (the line is called Arcade)
and includes stars, dots, stripes, paint splatters, and “asteroids.” It
sounds crazy but it’s tons of fun with bold patterns and eye-catching
embellishments! Be thinking of a title that consists of 4 letters, for
example LOVE, RIDE, WISH, PLAY, JUMP, LOUD, etc. I recommend bringing
some photos that might work so that you can complete this layout…there
are embellishments that will be overlapping the main photo so it would
be great if you were prepared to glue some pics down. Plus, that border
made out of circles includes photos that were circle punched, so being
prepared with pictures would be a HUGE benefit! " "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout is based on the idea of turning Trash into Treasure! We will be using some packaging material to help us create a fun border as well as the background of punch outs to make a cute embellishment. We’re using bright and fun Cherry Arte patterned paper, Scenic Route background grid paper, Scenic Route chipboard letters (which are my favorite!), and Cherry Arte punch out tags. The colors are mostly primary (red, yellow, and blue) with a bit of a bit of white and black. The patterned paper has dots, stars, ABC’s, and #’s on it…perfect for a back to school layout, or for basically anything you want, including sports pages, birthdays, or just a fun colorful layout about a day in your life! You’ll receive an entire pack of white Scenic Route chipboard letters which allow you to create any title you want. The punch out tags have tons of room for journaling, dates, and embellishing. It’s a fun and colorful layout sure to fit any theme!" "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout consists of Cherry Arte patterned paper, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, Fancy Pants chipboard embellishments, Basic Grey rub-ons, doodlebug buttons, and a few other little accents that make the page pop. We’ll be painting, lacing, doodling, and just plain having fun with this one! There are only three colors: black, white, and turquoise. The theme is family and my title says, “He Loves You”, but you can change it to “She Loves You”, “I Love You”, or anything else creative you can think of." "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout consists of the new Basic Grey line, Infuse! Your kit will contain 7 sheets of Basic Grey paper, a 12” x 12” sheet of matching die cuts, and a 12” x 12” sheet of coordinating letter stickers. To top it off, you’ll also get a whole package of rhinestones, some of which you’ll use to add some bling to your layout. There are many colors on this layout, but the main colors that stand out are brown, green, and white, with a touch of red and pink I’ve included a small photo of the paper pack which includes several of the papers we’ll be using. The title can be anything you want since you’re getting a couple sets of alphabet stickers! " "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout consists of American Crafts patterned paper, colored corrugated paper, paint, Colorbok letter stickers, and Fancy Pants chipboard. I learned a new technique that I will be sharing with you using foil, heat embossing, and metallic rubs. The colors are green, brown, and cream with a tiny touch of blue and pink…it’s earthy and fun with a bit of shine. The title is “You and Me” and it includes three definitions for family, treasure, and memories. I’m sure you’ll love the new and fun techniques you’ll learn this week…it was fun for me to experiment with these new materials as well!"

chipboard letters, and some other fun items. The colors of the
layout consist of grey, turquoise, pink, and cream. The title
is ‘Happiness Suits You” and it is absolutely gorgeous! It’s
got a bit of an angelic feel with wings, flowers, and
hearts…believe it or not, I’m using it on my sister in law with
her son. Yes, even boys can be scrapped with soft, feminine
colors. Just wait and see!" "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout consists of American Crafts patterned paper, felt letter stickers, Fancy Pants 12” x 12” chipboard, and silk flowers. You’ll be going home with an entire sheet of chipboard shapes that punch out of a 12” x 12” board, a ton of adorable American Crafts felt letters, and a great layout that can work for many different photos. The colors are green, yellow, black, white, and coral...very bright and “FUN!” The title is actually FUN, which can fit so many different pictures. I think you’ll love it!" "Next Monday’s and Tuesday’s class layout consists of Fancy Pants patterned paper, rub-ons, and big chipboard as well as Bazzill Bling. You’ll be going home with an entire sheet of chipboard shapes that punch out of a 12” x 12” board, a ton of adorable American Crafts cardstock letters that match perfectly, cool doodle rub-ons, and a great layout that can work for many different photos. The colors are light blues, light greens, white, and just a touch of pink. One of the quotes used on the layout says: “The true object of all human life is PLAY”. We will be painting again so be prepared to get messy!"
"Next Monday’s class will be a colorful one with the Basic Grey Scarlet’s Letter line. We’re going to be creating a layout that embraces a very European style and design…lots of movement, circles, tears, bumps, cutting, and waves. Be prepared for breaking out of the box and going a bit freestyle. Put those rulers and templates away because the messier this one is, the more beautiful and artistic it becomes. My title is about friends and the colors are cream, black, red, brown, green, grey, and white. You are more than welcome to change your title to absolutely anything you want, though. Lots of color, lots of style, and lots of fun!!" "Next Monday’s class on April 9th will be a Spring/Easter layout. My title is “Welcome Spring” but you have an entire sheet of Basic Grey alphabet stickers coming to you in the kit, so feel free to use one of the many Easter ideas in my quote book. The colors are mostly greens and turquoise blues with white and just a tiny touch of pink…very Spring like. I will be using Basic Grey’s “Pheobe” line of papers, stickers, and tags. My photo is a Spring photo with flowers and sunshine. Easter photos would look great, too! There are little birds and some flowers in the patterned paper…very cute! " "Here is the info for next Monday’s scrapbook class. The theme is Family, Togetherness, and/or Loving Life. The title on my layout says, “My Hero, My Dad” and has pictures of Avery with her Daddy. But you will be getting an entire alphabet of multiples of chipboard letters so that you can choose your own title to fit your photos. The colors are deep red, brown, blue, cream, and white (very earthy), with a few touches of several other colors. You can bring extra photos if you’d like to find just the right fit for this layout. "I know this is very late notice, but I just received my first shipment last Thursday (earlier than expected) so I wanted to throw it out there…who’s interested in coming to an impromptu class tomorrow night? RSVP’s early are a must! I am working on an adorable layout which has 9 different options for a theme. The possible themes are: One Fine Day, Note to Self, Happiness Is, Wish List, Baby Baby, School Days, My Girl, I Love it When…, There’s a Party Going On. Basically, you get a 12” x 12” sheet of journaling cards that have all these possible titles on them and you can pick which ever one you want. Hope that makes sense. It includes 3 landscape photos. They all started as 4” x 6” photos that I cropped down to approximately 2 photos @ 4” x 3” and 1 photo @ 4.75” x 3.5” (main photo). The main colors are brown and blue with a touch of red, cream, and pink." |
